In this episode Paris joined the Emirates Marine Environmental Group for a turtle health check and release. Rescued turtles are treated and fed back to health before going back to the sea.

If you find a turtle on the beach

  • Do not push it back into the water: a stranded turtle is often sick or injured.
  • Keep people and dogs back, and shade it if it is hot.
  • Call the municipality or a turtle rescue programme and send a photo and location.

Good habits at sea

Keep your distance when snorkelling or on a boat, never touch or feed wildlife, and take rubbish home: plastic bags and fishing line are among the threats turtles face.
