If you think polo is just for toffs, you'd be wrong. It's for lunatics. Utter madmen.
Hanging off a speeding horse by your thighs, swinging a mallet at a ball. It's mental, but a lot of fun. As you can see, this is my first try at Polo and I'm not very good but considering it's a first lesson, it goes to show that anyone can give it a go.
This was just before the Dubai Beach Polo championship which is one of the early events in the Dubai Polo calendar. The event was amazing to watch and I have to say I'd love to try polo again.
About Explore Dubai's Most Lavish Polo Extrava
Polo is a big deal in Dubai, given their love for equestrian sports, but the JuliusBaerGroup Polo Cup is probably the most exciting event in the Dubai Polo calendar. Held at the St Regis Habtoor Polo Club, it hosts over 5,000 people and has a lot more than just polo to watch.
It's a fun day out for the family and you can do it casually with a picnic or go all out and do it the high class way in the VIP tent.
It's certainly a lot of fun and one you shouldn't miss. It's usually held in the first week of March.
