About Inside the Insane World of Red Bull Air

The Redbullairrace in Abu Dhabi is an epic display of flying machine acrobatics. The Redbull Air Race focuses on the competition which is a race that rewards the pilots with points for their acrobatic maneuvers. However, there are a number of other entertaining events to watch when you are there.

The one that really caught my eye and totally bedazzled me was when we saw a man take off in a jetpack and zip all over the Abu Dhabi corniche at over 200kmph. The man flying was David Mayman who had spent the last few decades designing and testing this jetpack and has now got them to the point where he can fly them.

He has his sights on making this a common travel medium, suitable for delivery men and everyday travel.
